As a Boise dentist, I don’t always get to be the bearer of good news; so I’m excited to share that more research has been done that shows correlations between certain cheeses and their ability to fight cavities.
Cheese is also a good source of calcium and can help keep your bones (like your jaw bone, for example) strong and healthy.
So for today’s blog, you get to enjoy a little indulgence with a very tasty, and cheesy, recipe!
Sausage and Bell Pepper Baked Eggs
with Gouda Cheese
The Eccentric Cook 35 min total 4 servings
4 large eggs
1 cup Gouda cheese
1 ½ cups sausage, cooked or use cubed summer sausage
1 red bell pepper, very thinly sliced
Place the cut bell peppers evenly in 4 fire-resisting cups. Add sausage pieces and cheese on top.
Crack one egg in each cup and sprinkle salt and pepper on it.
Bake them at 390 degrees F in a pre-heated oven for about 10-13 minutes.
