ClearCorrect: Getting Invisible Braces in Boise

There are many reasons patients don’t particularly enjoy traditional braces, despite how dramatic an impact they can have on your appearance and oral health. If only we could somehow make them invisible and removable

If you think invisible braces sound like a pipe dream, you might be surprised to learn that we have them right now at our Boise dental practice.

The ClearCorrect system was designed to overcome the obstacles that hold back many adults and teenagers from their orthodontics treatment. Rather than attaching metal wires to your teeth and regularly adjusting them, ClearCorrect uses alignment trays custom-made for your teeth that gradually move them into the correct position.

ClearCorrect braces can be used to treat crowded teeth, open spacing issues, underbites, overbites, and rotated teeth. While ClearCorrect can do a lot, you should talk to your dentist to see if it’s a good option for you.

How Does ClearCorrect Work?

After evaluation from the dentist or orthodontist, we begin your orthodontic treatment with a computer-generated 3-D model of your mouth. We use this model to create a series of custom clear alignment trays that fit perfectly and invisibly over your teeth. Usually, we can prepare the trays in advance, meaning fewer visits to our Boise dental office.

Each tray moves your teeth a small amount. Patients usually wear each set of aligners for three weeks and then move to the next set, which continues to move their teeth in the right direction. You gradually progress from one aligner tray to the next until your teeth are in the correct position.

Treatment times can vary significantly. Most patients need treatment for one to two years to achieve the desired result. This requires anywhere from six to 32 alignment trays. While you don’t need to visit the office as frequently as you do for traditional braces, we’ll still want to check in with you periodically to see how things are going and to hand over the next series of alignment trays, making adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary.

Braces Just Started Looking a Whole Lot Better

While traditional braces attach to the teeth, ClearCorrect braces easily fit over your teeth—nearly invisible—requiring few life changes or sacrifices as you complete your orthodontic treatment. Since they’re easy to remove when needed, ClearCorrect is far less invasive than traditional braces. Although you should wear the braces pretty much all the time, you can remove them when you eat or drink (anything but water) and then clean your teeth before returning the braces to duty.

For those who want the great smile without the trial and tribulation of unsightly wires, ask Boise’s invisible braces experts if ClearCorrect is right for you. You’ll be glad you did!
